Bamboo flooring in a new log home

Added January 5th, 2006

Q. How long does bamboo flooring have to acclimate to a new log home? Someone told me the humidity of the space needs to be below 50%. What are the proper installation conditions?

A: Usually when the moisture level of the floor and the bamboo are the same. You need a pin moisture meter and hygrometer to acclimate it properly. You should always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for floor prep, acclimation and installation.
